Remember last summer when some of the bots got picked for exhibit at a museum in Florida? Well, it’s happened again. These guys–Rocky, Look Homeward Angel, Big Honeymaker, Glitch, and Tom Foolery–have been selected to appear at the Arizona Museum for Youth (soon to be re-christened the “i.d.e.a. Museum”) in Mesa, AZ. The exhibit of robot art runs February 6 through May 25, 2014. I’m sorry I won’t be chaperoning this particular field trip, but if you go, tell the bots to please misbehave whenever the teachers’ backs are turned.

I love your bots and have always wanted to see your work in person, so I’m glad I’ll finally have the chance to! I live in Scottsdale, so I’ll take my own “field trip” over to Mesa to make sure your bots are keeping the teachers on their toes. Congratulations for being selected for the show!
Your robots are beautiful! I bought one for my son as a “found object ” at Anthropologie. It’s a work of art.
Thanks—wow–Anthropologie! That was a while ago. I’m selling them mostly from my website and through art fairs now. But since you’ve been reading my blog, I guess you know that…
Just bought it this Christmas, so the cute robot from “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (as we call it) stood still in the Anthro warehouse until I came along. I have a photo of it on my Facebook page. :).
We just saw these guys in Mesa on Saturday and I haven’t stopped thinking about them. Amazing! My daughter (5) loved them too.
Thanks! I hope I inspire a new generation of robot makers–including your daughter.
