Fobots are Amy’s latest creations, combining both her two favorite passions: making art and shopping. I want a fobot so bad! How do I get photos of your work so I can pick one out? I just missed your show in Winter Park. I saw the article in “where women create” and just couldnt get over it. Just have to say “Wow” I’m a junker, collector, antiquer and have always carried the invisible bumper sticker of “Trash to Treasure” on my bum! My jewelry and accessories utilizes authentic keys and other found objects and I love using anything vintage and repurposing it.
Your artistic background has really taken you to a wonderful place….you’re green, you’re resourceful, you’re a visionary and yes, you are successful. Your work is far ahead of anyone’s I’ve seen around. I love every one of your Fobots.
You mention that one could supply you with items and even do a color scheme. I love my dogs and cats and would love to have you create perhaps a cat or dog with my collection.

Amy, do you ever show in the Naples/Ft. Myers area? I have a technical question. Are the parts joined using just screws, bolts, and glue? Or do you have to do any soldering or welding? Thanks, Mike Danley
Hi Mike–the problem with the Naples area is that there are too many art fairs, so none of them is any good for the artists! We did Miami and Winter Park this year, and will do them again if invited. As for technique–all of the above. Bolts, screws, epoxy, and solder, but not welding.

Are you selling items at the Art of the Robot at the Appleton Museum? Will you be in St Petersburg, FL anytime soon?
Hello, Richard! I do sell online–you can visit my website at http://www.ifobot.com . Two of the five Fobots at the Appleton are sold–the bee and the unicyclist, and there aren’t very many left for sale in the “Available” gallery on the website. BUT–I’ll be putting a bunch of new ones up around November 1. If you click on the website’s mailing list link and sign up, you’ll get a notification of when that will be exactly. As for St. Petersburg–I never really know in advance what shows I’ll be doing in any given year. I’ve just started applying for next year’s shows, and there’s always the chance I won’t get in. But I do plan on applying for shows in Miami and Winter Park, if that helps.
